Look for the New King Midget Kit Car Design Plans to be released this year! We are getting excited to announce the book which will revolutionize how people think about the King Midget name and small vehicles in general. This is going to be compilation of all the information that we have learned based on all five prototypes we've built over the last six years. We are also looking to include alternative energy ideas and possible solutions which are going to be needed soon to maintain the homeostasis of the planet. Not only environmentally, but also economically, politically, and aesthetically. We feel that gasoline is a needed power source obviously, but sensible use of this resource is needed, and alternative resources and energy technologies that are currently viable options need to have a more open and honest dialogue in our society. Thank you to everyone who has stayed patient with us while we worked on this project. Thank you for all of the comments, suggestions, and support we have have received and continue to receive from the King Midget Community. Meanwhile....
We're still here and as busy as ever fabricating and finding sources for parts for all the many King Midget cars still circulating out there in the World Today!
We are currently using a Golf Cart Chassis and the modification will include a lengthing and a strengthing of the original framework. Documentation of the procedure will be detailed and through and will appear as the main chapter of our new design plans. The Kit Car Design Plans are our current main project and once we finish this instructional book people everywhere will be able to build their own King Midget. We would then take the role as a source for body panels and other kit designed parts such as the electric vehicle option.
As stated above the Plans will be put together as we assembly the new vehicle. We do have Packets of Information that will be sent to People on our Mailing List for the new Car soon. The Kit Car will use most of the original model 3 body panels and retain the same look as the model 3. Some improvements over the original are: Independent Front Suspension, Rack N'Pinion Steering, Disc Brakes, Bucket Seats with Headrests, and a Roll Bar. Basically we plan to build the Rolling Chassis and you can assemble the rest. We estimate the Final Kit Price around $7,000 to $9,000. You will be able to install your own Choice of Engine, anything over 150cc. Some possiblites we've Considered are Bio-Diesel, Electric Motors, Compressed Natural Gas, Motorcycle Engines, and Standard Briggs & Straton, Honda, Kohler small V-Twin Engines.
